Herbal Heat Pouch

Heat Pouch The Early Spring Herbal Heat Pouch contains 5 medicinal herbs and organically grown Australian wheat. The Pouch is made using Justin's own formula and he has been producing them since 2001. They give relief from pain and promote faster healing by releasing blockages to the flow of the body's natural substances. The pouch is useful for pain arising from arthritis, manifestations of stress eg. headaches, neck/shoulder pain, postural muscle aches, old injuries, and abdominal pain related to menses. They are unsuitable for recent injuries or inflammation where the RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) principle applies, but are highly recommended after swelling has gone down.

The Early Spring Pouch is easy to use, requiring only a minute or two in the average microwave (please follow the instructions), the two precautions for use of the pouch are unsuitability for normal (convection) ovens and microwaves without turntables.

The Pouch must not be used where inflammation is present.

The cost is only $34.95 plus postage (payable to Early Spring) and prompt delivery is assured. Postage costs Australia wide start from $7.50 but vary depending on the order quantity. The amount will be listed on your Shopping cart when you add the item. For International orders please contact us via email info@earlyspring.com.au so we can calculate the correct shipping costs and arrange payment.

"...heat is an extremely therapeutic medium. By nature its actions are to expand and move."

More Information...

Heat pouches are not a new concept. As we are mostly aware, heat is an extremely therapeutic medium. By nature its actions are to expand and move. In the context of existing muscular injury (post-acute) this action is highly beneficial to the healing process. Painful muscles indicate an area of the body where the flow of chi is compromised. A similar discomfort (conceptually) as the aching back and/or neck we suffer from less than ideal posture, old injuries, PMT, arthritis etc.

Many people are choose to tolerate their pain unwilling to persist with less than satisfactory drug type treatments. We need to move the chi, hence reduce the pain, to help ourselves heal. Our 'selves' are the most potent healing mechanisms in the world - quite often they just need a hand to get moving!

As practitioners of Chinese Medicine we understand that the action of a substance may be enhanced when complemented by the reinforcing actions of like substances. It was with this understanding that the Early Spring Chinese Herbal Heat Pouch became a reality.

Individual species possess different energies useful to us as re-balancing agents for our own energies. For example, the warming action of Ginger, the cooling action of Peppermint, the moving action of Cyathula, the invigorating action of Angelica, or the stabilising action of Astragalus.

Ingestion of herbal medicine is a very powerful modality of treatment and should only ever be done under qualified supervision. As these herbs are indicated for pain due to variety of cause, they may be heated to release their medicinal properties when placed on the site of pain.
